Champaign & Urbana allow the Refugee Center to continue refugee resettlement

We are grateful for the support of our local municipalities as we continue to do the important work of welcoming refugees to East Central Illinois.


An executive order signed by President Trump in September requires communities to give their formal consent for refugees to be resettled inside their boundaries. The Champaign city council and the mayor of Urbana have given us their permission to keep performing this essential function.
